Platelet Rich Plasma
prp facial & prp for hair loss/thinning
PRP is an amazing treatment option for people who are looking for total skin rejuvenation. By placing PRP back into the skin at such a high concentration, cell proliferation is encouraged allowing for the formation and release of growth factors and active proteins that promote healing. This leads to an increase in elastin and collagen production giving you healthier, tighter, fuller, smoother and more youthful looking skin.
What is plasma & what are platelets?
Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is composed largely of water and proteins and it provides a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to circulate through the body.
Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth healing functions.
Platelet activation plays a key role in the body's natural healing process.

Why should I get PRP therapy for my face?
Some of the most compelling benefits of PRP for skin rejuvenation include:
Nonsurgical: There are no incisions, lasers, scarring, or recovery time associated with PRP.
Quick and convenient: PRP therapy for the face can typically be completed in 1 hour.
Natural treatment: Patients seeking a more natural alternative to other facial treatments may be excited to learn that PRP simply uses a patient’s own blood. Because of this, there is little to no risk of an adverse or allergic reaction.
Long-lasting results: Many patients enjoy their PRP skin rejuvenation results for up to a year or longer before a maintenance treatment is needed. The full effect of your treatments will appear in 2 weeks to a month.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The recommended protocol for optimal results is 3 - 4 sessions at 4 - 6 week intervals. Patients who smoke or have a lot of sun damage and don’t protect their skin will require more treatments.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Step 1: Nurse Cailynn will take a sample of your blood.
Step 2: Blood sample is placed into a machine called a centrifuge. This device uses gravitational force to separate and concentrate the platelets.
Step 3: Platelets are injected into treatment area. Depending on treatment area, a microneedling device or a syringe will be used.
RECOVERY PROCESS
Day 1 Skin looks red, inflamed, sunburnt. Skin feels dry, tight, hot, irritated.
Day 2 Red hue persists only less (like moderate sunburn). More swelling on day two.
Day 3 Redness and swelling start to subside, but still may persist.
Day 4-6 Redness, swelling should subside. Slight skin flaking is prevalent.
Day 7-9 Expect acne breakouts with, rough skin and flaking.
Day 10 All side effects should subside and skin should be felt smooth, glowing.
